The trace of clay-strip building is still can be found in the inner ding. The nails on the belly of the ding can reinforce the body and also serve as decoration.

When look carefully, many sandstone grits in the ceramic tire could be find, which are not for halfhearted work, but intentionally added, which could increase the permeability of the ceramic ding to oid collapsing at high temperatures.
